Hypnosis is a state of mind, enhanced by mental and physical relaxation, in which our subconscious is able to communicate with our conscious mind.
Hypnosis is a short-term approach to producing a beneficial change - and the most important aspect in producing a change is that you are comfortable with your therapist. Michael is a dedicated and conscientious practitioner who has worked with people for more than twenty years, providing a confidential and professional service. He believes that if a change is going to occur, it will be apparent within relatively few sessions, but it is always your choice whether to continue with hypnosis or not.
Michael is also qualified in EFT - emotional freedom technique - and is interested in past life regression, in which he runs workshops and individual sessions.
You may be worried that you will "lose control" during hypnosis. However, you always remain in full control, are able to talk and can finish the session at any time.
Clinical hypnosis is suitable for most people, however, occasionally it is not an appropriate therapy. This may include some types of depressive illness, epilepsy, psychosis (e.g. schizophrenia) and some breathing problems.
